The piece is hand carved in wax, cast in solid sterling silver, then gilded in 24k gold leaf using the ancient keum boo technique. Then, the whole piece is patina ed, sanded and polished. Finally, the stone is set in the center and put on gold filled lever back ear wires. Each item comes in a cute box ready for gift
